- Turkey fryer oil & grease
- Pour leftover fats, oils and grease into a soup can or similar container with a lid, put it in the freezer, and when it's full throw it away in your regular trash. Wipe greasy cookware with a paper towel before washing and throw the towel away. Hot water, soap and the garbage disposal don't stop grease clogs.
- Extra trash
- Monthly service includes two Big Blue trash carts. If that's not enough, you can order up to two more Big Blue carts for an extra monthly fee through okcutilities.com. Large items can go out with your monthly bulky waste pickup, which isn't affected by the holiday.
- Boxes & wrapping
- Break down and flatten shipping boxes and keep cardboard clean and free of food and grease. Put recyclables loose in the Big Green cart, never bagged. Tissue paper, paper plates and napkins go in the trash, as do plastic film, bubble wrap and plastic party goods.
