Palm Bay November 2026 flooding: trash pickup & debris
Last updated:
Current status
After heavy flooding, the City of Palm Bay said Republic Services was assessing flooded streets before running routes. In its Nov. 2 update, the City said customers whose regular day was Monday, Nov. 2 will next be collected Thursday, Nov. 5, and Tuesday, Nov. 3 customers should put carts out only if it's safe and their street isn't flooded, with a possible delayed start.
What to do
- Monday customers: keep your carts secured until Thursday, Nov. 5.
- Tuesday customers: put carts at the curb only if your street isn't flooded and it's safe to do so.
- Never place carts in floodwater or wade into water to move them.
- The City said more updates would follow; check the City's official channels or call Republic Services before setting out bulk items.
- Palm Bay had not announced a flood-debris pickup program as of Nov. 4. In past storms, the City asked residents to separate construction and demolition debris (fencing, carpet, furniture) from vegetative debris (leaves, logs, branches), so keeping piles separate is a safe start.
- Report blocked streets, drainage trouble or debris hazards through the City's Public Works service request form, or call 321-952-3437 for urgent hazards.
