Florida flooding: Palm Bay and Port St. Lucie trash pickup delayed
The Nov 2–3 flooding on Florida's east coast disrupted trash pickup. Port St. Lucie is on a holiday schedule, with every pickup day moving one day later. Palm Bay's Monday routes move to Thursday, Nov 5. Our pages list the official city updates and the rules for setting out flood debris.
NYC: 2026 SAFE Disposal Events are over
DSNY says there are no more SAFE Disposal Events in 2026, and the next ones are expected in 2027. For now, take oil-based paint to a PaintCare drop-off site or to a DSNY Special Waste Drop-Off site (Tue–Sat, 9 AM–3 PM).

Two new guides went up. The household chemicals guide covers LA County, Portland, Baltimore, Milwaukee and San Francisco. The fridge & freezer guide, with Freon tips, covers Denver, Oklahoma City, Washington DC, Indianapolis, Nashville and Glendale CA.

We added Augusta GA, Vancouver WA, Oxnard CA, Birmingham AL, Akron OH, Newport News VA, Ontario CA, Brownsville TX, Glendale CA, Aurora IL, Pembroke Pines FL, Murfreesboro TN, Killeen TX, Kansas City KS, Charleston SC and Macon-Bibb County GA. Every page comes from that city's official page.
More battery, furniture and appliance guides
New battery pages are up for Oklahoma City, San Francisco, Nashville, Washington DC, LA County, Boston, Baltimore, Milwaukee and Portland. Furniture and appliance pages were added for Denver, Oklahoma City, Washington DC, Indianapolis, San Francisco, Nashville, Baltimore, Milwaukee, Glendale CA and Pembroke Pines.
New battery disposal guide
Our new battery guide explains how to get rid of batteries safely, with EPA tips. It started with New York City, Houston and Phoenix, and Philadelphia, San Antonio and San Diego were added the same day.

We added holiday pickup changes for Fort Worth, San Jose, Nashville, Oklahoma City, Louisville, Washington DC and Baltimore, each checked against the city's official site.

This city-by-city guide covers holiday pickup changes, turkey fryer oil, and extra trash and boxes. It launched with Phoenix, San Diego, New York City, Houston, Philadelphia, Chicago, Jacksonville, Columbus, Indianapolis and Charlotte.
